We get by with a little help from our friends

Slightly plagerized from SmockDaddy (which is funny when you know more of that story).

Back when our oldest (11) was five years old and in kindergarten, SmockDaddy sent out an E-mail to everyone we could think of, asking for their box tops. Her school was participating in Box Tops for Education, a program General Mills has been running for many years now. For every box top turned in, General Mills will donate $.10 to the school. Back then, we had lots and lots of box tops come to us through the mail. Our little girl was the top Box Top collector in her class three years in a row, and collected the second highest number in the school (only one box top separated her from the top collector) the last year.

Now, it’s time to do that again, but this time we’ve got three in a school that collects box tops, so help us out, will ya? Almost everyone eats cereal: just be sure to get a “Big G” brand cereal next time you go to the store. (Hey, they’re all whole-grain now. Yup: even Lucky Charms. Believe it or not.) And if you’re only buying organic cereals, Box Tops for Education are on Cascadian Farms Organic products too (they make Clifford Crunch, among other cereals).

Box Tops are also on all sorts of products from General Mills and Pillsbury. They’re even on boxes of Kleenex and Ziploc Bags now! Click here for a complete list.

So come on, America, send us some box tops! Just E-mail me at SmockLady AT thesmocklady DOT com if you don’t have the mailing address or contact me through my contact page.

Thanks!
