Swimming in endorphins
My head is all a-buzz with many thoughts today. I need some time to wrap my thoughts properly around something I want to share. In time, I say.
I went back to my chiropractor today. I lurve him and his wife. They are so nice. Well, today, I actually got adjusted. I was stretched out on the table, face down hooked up to the electrodes of an electronic muscle stim machine with hot pads of clay on my back and oh, they felt so good. I don’t like the muscles stim by itself, but once the heat starts to sink in too I could just go to sleep. Seriously.
He came back in the room after what was too short a time with the hot pads. Have I mentioned how good those feel? He pushed and prodded and pressed on the worse muscles knots in my back. Then he positioned his hands on either side of my spine right near my shoulder blades and all I could think at that moment was, “Yes. YES. YES!!” You know the part of the back I’m talking about don’t you? That part that can not bend, or stretch, or twist. It’s right there where you can’t scratch either. Yeah, right there. Well, he had me take a deep breath and the next thing I knew I heard about four popping sounds and then this warmth started to flow through my muscles and into my arms and around to my chest. It’s like endorphins were having a party and they were taking me along for the ride. The pressure was releasing and I could almost immediately breathe deeper and easier. Then there was a little Shiatsu in some of the worse spots. I rolled over to my back and he did this twisty thing to my head and neck (kind of scary at first) then I realized I could turn my neck all the way around. Really. I am now like an owl. Just kidding. I can now turn my head all the way to my left shoulder and all the way to my right shoulder without pain. This is notable, very notable. I had forgotten I was supposed to be able to turn my head without it hurting.
Those endorphins? They still feel good.

Sounds like a good day all the way around!

Almost as much fun as a good Christian is allowed to have? ;) Sounds simply lovely.

haha-I like falwyn’s comment!
falwyn and MMM – you ladies need to get out more if that’s all the fun you good Christians allow yourselves. Bwahahaha.
I think SmockLady might be right about that…
