Oh, my gosh. And here my mother thought she had the best poop story about my too quiet nap when I entertained myself by decorating my self and the Jack and Jill wall plaques (I’m 58) with the fun stuff from my diaper. Your story is so much funnier–well, funnier to me, anyway, because it didn’t happen to me.

I’m still laughing thinking about the sherriff–you know, somewhere there is a really entertaining report of his call to your house.

OH MY GOODNESS! That is hysterical. And not. All at the same time. And I'm so sorry that you did not enter this for my contest I had last summer. I am, at the same time, both horribly sorry & laughing hysterically. I cannot imagine how horrifying that must have been.
Good news? That story totally trumps the “I was in labor for 19573656507548957895 hours” for guilt points when said child is 15.

Well, “L” at “none.com”, first of all, thanks for courageously posting your ID and your blog’s URL so we can all read about you for ourselves.

I am the husband of the writer of the above article, and the father of the children in question. I got the call at work when the carpet was set on fire. I came home from work that day to the aftermath of the above scenario. We lived with the burned place on the carpet for the rest of the time we had that house. I tried to console the distressed mom in the above story.

This is something that happened when our now-six-year-old was about four months old–oh, but you would know that if you would actually READ THE POSTS!

If you would bother to click on the link to VeryMom, you would see that her story is not similar to this at all. Also if you would do a little checking, you’ll see that other bloggers have linked to THIS post, such as The Reign of Ellen.

So it’s a good thing “everyone thinks the SmockLady wrote this,” because she did.
