Ooooo, that smells good

Sometimes I can’t tell which smells better when it is baking:
fresh home made bread (or as the children call it “home bread” - made two of those today)

or
the best ever Scottish Shortbread?
(this pic is for Holley)

My shortbread - the best. Yes, I boast. It never lasts long either. I may have to take orders and charge for it. ;)

  1. Can’t you just send me one piece? Huh Huh

    It looks delish.

  2. Holley - only one piece? Wow. And to think I was going to send you a whole batch.

  3. o! shortbread! it goes so nice with a cup of tea, I’m drooling for some and I’m stuck at work for another late night :-(

    boohoo me

Andy Bailey’s last blog post..CommentLuv is working!

  4. Andy - yes, it’s great with tea, but state side I like to eat a piece with my coffee (in the morning, shhh). Of course I do this while hiding from my kiddos. ;)

  5. I need the recipe!!!

    kerflop’s last blog post..Sideblog: Bye-bye Facebook

  6. Forget the coffee and the tea, just send me the bucket. I’ll lick the bottom of every crumb.

I sure hope you are serious about the batch. I could use some sugar right about now.

  7. Kerflop - the recipe for the bread or the shortbread? I assume you mean the shortbread. I can not share it because I am mean. And because I would be haunted by every single one of my maternal ancestors for the rest of my days. I was not allowed to have the recipe myself until I was “an adult”. Ha! Fooled them didn’t I? But would you like me to send you some - I’m afraid you would fall off your sugar wagon though? There is nothing low fat or sugar free about it, but I only use organic ingredients because we all know that makes it better for us, right? ;)

Holley - I am going to Monroe tomorrow just to buy the butter. Are you going to share or do I need to send P and the children some of their own?

  8. Share? What is this share? No comprenda.

  9. Holley - that is what I figured.
