Inspiration of color
I asked for some input of thought on new colors for a spring change. I do not plan on changing the layout, just the colors. I got some input and am very excited to say that the decision has mostly been made. I was torn between bright and cheery (read: sassy and hot) and pastel soft colors. I am happy to say that I feel pretty confident in announcing a happy medium. At least I think so. It’s that whole indecisive thing.
I played with some color variations this weekend and couldn’t really find anything I was happy with until this afternoon when I decided to make a tablecloth out of some of my favorite fabric. I have held on to this piece of fabric for almost eight years and decided it was time to use it. I have some coordinating fabric that I will use to make some napkins (maybe this weekend). While I was hemming the side today it occurred to me that this is the perfect color combination and just what I was looking for. And it covers most of the colors you mentioned with the shades that I like so much: pink, green, yellow/gold, blue, and maybe a hint of purple. I will reveal soon. I am trying to wait until March 1st (even though Spring is not official until the 20th) for the new color scheme, but I am finding that I want a little instant gratification and I may not be able to wait. Man, that’s bad, March 1st is only three days away. *sigh*
