I’m a sellout, a follower, a giver-in to peer pressure, a weak little human who must comply

NOT! I just want to make a little money, People! OK, so that does make me a sellout, doesn’t it. I put some affiliate links up on my blog back before Christmas and then took them down when my blog got the face lift. I am visual person, so I used graphics for the linkage. I did not like it though; it was too busy, too tacky. So now I have decided to try again with good old fashioned text linkage. Even if it does not attract my attention it should attract some body’s, right? Right. I am not supposed to tell you to click on the links, so I will not. I am not supposed to put a note above the links to tell you click on them, so I will not. But I will make note here about the face that I added this sellout stuff and am going to be making changes until I get it all acceptable to me. I would like you opinions, but I may not take them to heart.

Speaking of the bloggity goodness, those of you who aren’t with it and still use IE (that’s Internet Explorer for those of you that aren’t with it) just go get the real thing and be done and with it. It’s also time for many of you to get out of Granny Bible mode (800 x 600) with your screen settings. You’ll like these changes so much better and they will be better for you. OK? Good. I got Granny Bible mode from VeryMom and had to use it because I thought it was so funny.

Now for a little ketchup catch up in the past week.
The concert was awesome. An absolutely wonderful time was had and even though we got home very late, about midnight, once the children were tucked in tight from their sleeping state of car travel the rest of the evening continued. *ahem* It’s nunya from here on, but let me just say - Faahbulous. Maahvelous. Ok, I’ll stop. Oh, I can’t - it took me until 8:12 this morning to feel like I had caught up the littlest bit on the night of no sleep.

As a result of the sleepiness that hung on me for two days we only got the barest of basics done with school this week - the three R’s. But I’m back on track today and already getting geared up for next week. As I sit here typing the older three are sitting at the table playing Clue while the Cowboy naps and Princerella is doing something in the den with SmockDaddy.

I’ve sat here at the desk most of the morning getting next weeks Latin lesson ready and preparing the newest additions to the map books and time line studies we are going to do. And toying with a little blogging meme I have in mind to start. Although it’s not one I think anyone will join, it’s just a bit of a thing I thought might be neat for me to try. I need to create a little button for it but I’m not sure what I’ll use. Hmmm. I’ll think on that one so keep your eye out for Monday’s newest addition to the blog.

Don’t forget to prepare yourself for the ever changing changes that will continue until I’m inspired by what I see: my blog is like my furniture, I change it until I like it, keep it that way until I get bored, then move it around again. Hey, at least the furniture in the house has stayed in one place longer than it ever has before. ;)

And now, People, as I have just slurped my last sip of the most wonderful Route 44 Cerry Coke I’ve been nursing for an hour or so I must excuse myself.

It’s your site and you can do what you want to it. I think it’s great that you are able to put links on your site that will make you money. We aren’t allowed to do that with the freebie sites.

Actually, Kay, it’s a Xanga thing. Most of the other blogging servers will allow much more control than Xanga will. They don’t even offer a software platform that allows for easy import/export of the user database. I’m trying to get the Reverend’s info exported and into one he can control better, but xanga’s a bit difficult. Blogger, Blogsome, and a few others out there that use the Wordpress platform for blogging don’t require all the ads at the top of the blogs and are still free to users. I looked into some of them, but was just not pleased at all. So I registered my name/URL for a mere $6.00 and then I bought a hosting space on a great server, VeryCommerce. Verycommerce is the host of my business web site (it’s not public yet); that’s how I knew about them. In one form or another I’ve been doing business with the VeryTeam for at least five years now.

I admire that you can do it–the code, the money, whatever :)

You are very funny! I don’t think you are a sellout!
