Gumball rocks! Gumball is pink. Gumball is a boy. Secret Agent Josephine has started a craze. And I’ve fallen for it too. How could I not? Gumball is adorable. I first learned about ol’ gumball over at Oh My Stinkin’ Heck’s place, but a quick visit to SAJ and I was hooked for sure. Gumball is out to paint the world pink, but our house is a Rainbow of fruit flavors and a mixed bag of tricks too. With six children all wanting to have a Gumball of their very own, I decided a quick trip to the photo software room of my hard drive would allow everyone their very own signature Gumball, made of each child’s favorite color. This also allows me the ability to know just whose Gumball is not put away or cared for properly.
(Yes, color coded-children - even my calendar is color coded; but that’s another post for another day.) After some tweaking and a little color surgery at the Photo Clinic we had ourselves a Gumball and some cousins. Would you like to meet them all? Gumball - the one who started it all; and (Thank you, Emelie.) there is Blueberry; meet Violet; and Buddy (named after our own orange cat); Kiwi (or Mint-O-Green depending on which child is referring to him); last, but not least, is Sunshine (I call him JuicyFruit). More Pictures to come; I just don’t have time right now.
I bought some Iron-on transfer paper for printing Gumball. With some technical trial and error on plain paper I was able to use as little Iron-on transfer paper as necessary for printing Gumball and his pals. That stuff is expensive. I already had the fabric (boy, howdy!) and some poly-fill for stuffing. It was just a matter of sitting down to do it. And we did. I also made some magnets to keep me company by my sewing machine. These dudes are hanging out on my filing cabinet making sure no one gets in, but me. I’ve been asked to make stickers too. I’ll get some of these this weekend for that print job.
I’d really like to make some magnets like this, but I think that may have to wait for another rainy day project. Although, this is what is happening outside my window right now. The birdbath has been frozen since yesterday. Today tiny little sleet are bouncing around on it and sticking to it. They are so tiny, that at first I thought it was little snow flakes that were just not melting since the ice and concrete were staying cold. I realized it was sleet when I heard it and then focused real hard on to see them bouncing off the ground. Maybe tomorrow . . .
I have plans for Gumball, BIG PLANS! Mwahahaha.

Hi! I got an invite to SAJ’s Flickr group for gumball a few days ago and though he was very cute. I may take up the invite if I find time… does look like fun. You mean, Gumball hasn’t made it to Canada yet? Oh dear, well I guess I have a duty to make sure he does? I love what you have done with gumball’s cousins!
Well, well … I’m so glad that you decided to create magnets too! *wink*
Love your rainbow array of Gumballs!
OMSH - yes, I am a Gumball copycat; but yours are cuter.
Aren’t gumballs for chewing? You’re making me crave gum!!!
