Alternate title: Kicking up some dust
or
A miracle: I’m sure our neighbors are happier

Today Goro got busy with a new chore. He learned how to cut grass. With a push-mower. GASP!

He got a little instruction from SmockDaddy about the mower then went to task.

How to cut grass on one leg while scratching at bug bites with the other (or maybe it’s stray pieces of cut grass).

He jumped right on it proud to learn something new and help.

I’m not sure what Birdie is doing there behind him.

With sister close behind he sets to task. His mind on the job at hand.

I’ve been told Goro instructed Birdie to follow close behind so if a stick needed picking up he could stop and have her dispose of the stick so he didn’t have to. Hmm?

Second verse lap, same as the first.

Sans Birdie. She was told by SmockDaddy not to walk so close as things could be thrown out from under the mower and cause injury.

Ready about!

Not real sure how to turn around now that he’s at the end of the row.

Hard to lee. or About Face.

He got it, after kicking up the dust

He did a great job and I am very proud of his achievement. It’s no small task as our yard is large AND we don’t even own a lawn mower.1 I’m proud of you, Iain. You did a great job. But the hugs will wait until after your shower – you are a bit dirty and, well, stinky, too. :o)

Karen – it won’t be long.

Marye – be sure to wave as you pass through. If you are going to be stopping anywhere nearby we’ll meet you for a coke (either on your way there or back). Have fun. Expect it to be different since the last time you were there.
