I joined Heather’s Color Me Happy Swaparooni and this swap’s theme is Black and White. I got my swap buddy and am geared up and ready to go. I do have one more thing to finish taking care of, but this has been oh. so. fun. I can not divulge anything yet because I do not want to give anything away. My buddy said she likes:
- Polka dots (oh, me too)
- vintage (most things, me too, especially fabrics)
- things that sparkle (me too as long as it’s not glitter - no glitter allowed in my house - glitter multiplies in the dark like wire clothes hangers)
- fabric (me too)
- paper (again with the me too)
- photography (yeah, me too)
She dislikes:
- coffee (jee jiminy, not like coffee? :) And I need me coffee - just ask Heather about how I screwed up my e-mail addy because i didn’t have my coffee the day I signed up for the swap. jee jiminy. )
- scrapbooks (I like scrapbooks, but I do so much less than most scrapbookers; I want my pictures front and center not the busy stuff)
- knick knacks (paddy wack, give a dog a bone, SmocknMama says they must go)
- sports (I understand, but I did play soccer for many, many years, but no, don’t send sporty stuff)
- stuffed animals (cutesy, cutesy is for the kiddos, but how could anyone say no to the likes of this, or this, or even this?)
I have watched lots o’ bloggers write about the fun they have had with these swaps and I decided to give it a try. This is my first one. I hope I do it well. I’ve written before about how much I enjoy giving gifts and all that goes with it, but this was a bit hard since I don’t know Mrs. Apples-on-a-stick personally. I did take a few liberties with her list. Since it can be hard to find things in Black and White ONLY I mostly just tried to avoid the things on her dislikes list.
I’ll update and share pictures once I know she has them - I wouldn’t want to spoil the surprise.

Hi Smock Lady - I joined the Black and White Swap too. It is my first, but has been fun so far. I am not finished with my stuff yet. Have you been able to find a lot of black and white stuff? Good luck.
